There is actually no secret about the best healthcare formula:

Medicare is a single payer public option system available to all US citizens over 65, with very satisfied seniors as its recipients. 

Lowering the age of entrance to 55, and lowering it further to 45, 35 and so on, would result in a single payer public option for the entire population by the time you reached zero as the age limit.  The savings resulting for all employers, for example, and the Veterans, of not having to provide healthcare insurance would be massive.

It would also mean that the Obama administration would not be able to keep its agreements entered into with the Insurance and Pharmaceutical companies.  Force majeure.

Exercising the right recently announced by Admiral Blair, of assassinating US citizens without charges, trial, or judicial oversight can not really prevent this.  Eyebrows will be raised if all those who might have thought of it are removed.

Well, I have liked most of what you have said before, but you lose me here.  So a gov that would assassinate people can be trusted to provide medical care?  I DON"T trust or want them in the middle of my healthcare decisions.  I'm dealing with a father with dementia, and the level of control that the state has in dealing with what is OUR family situation is highly immoral and unethical.  They claim these powers because of their subsidy-what they pay for they will seek to control.  The $$ that they took from him over 40+ years of work would be more than enough to have him kept at home and given us far more control over his and our comfort.

So a gov that would assassinate people can be trusted to provide medical care?  

Not quite, no.  As a way of introducing a single payer public option it would be perfect, that's all, and since it already exists, extending it is simpler than a completely new system.  Whether BO could, or would wish to, get away with trying it by claiming force majeure ("I was forced") is a different question.
