Other crew members (well... at least one) have praised Cristol's work, acknowledging (more or less) that the attack was in error.

For someone who seems to think that everything must be written to prove its existence, you sure put forth a concerted effort in attempting to transform undocumented fantasy into something substantive.

This "at least one" crew member is the sole exception to the conviction commonly shared among every other Liberty veteran who has voiced his opinion on the matter.

Maurice H. Bennet, Jr. -- perhaps the least qualified to opinionate anything on the attack if the same standards were applied by the poster to him as others regarding sworn testimony parameters and eyewitness location. His brief and out-of-order (i.e. recalled before he was ever called to testify) statements are only on messaging and whether or not he believed anyone was still alive in the area that was struck by torpedo (even though he wasn't medical personnel at all). What he was, according to the Lucas testimony, was something of a Hebrew linguist.

Thanks for the info on Bennet Jr.

This sentence ...

... is quintessential Jelly -- a fine example of the obfuscation he regularly practices.
