Jesus' real message and why the Jews wanted him dead
« on: September 20, 2018, 06:18:06 AM »
Jesus belonged to a sect of Jews called the Essenes who taught that the God called Yahweh, whose worship was introduced by Moses, the founder of the Jewish religion, was not the one true God at all, but was instead the entity that the Jews called Satan, whose purpose was to deceive mankind and lead them astray. This is what Jesus meant when he said to the Jews who accused him of heresy:

"You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not for the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature: for he is a liar, and the father of lies."

This view was also supported by the apostle Paul, in his Second Epistle to the Corinthians 4:4, which reads:

"Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the gospel."

The Essenes were a sect of Jews who knew that the established form of religion practiced by the mainstream Jews was of a sinister, malevolent nature and that Yahweh, the God that most Jews worshiped, was evil.

Unlike the mainstream Jews of their day, the Essenes did not practice animal sacrifice, were pacifists, and were celibate. They knew the Jews were evil and wanted the Jewish race to die out, hence their adherence to celibacy.
