I have to wonder if the theory of a dual star is necessary once one grasps the helical model. If each cycle of our sun around it's helical axis equals the cycle of precession then it's movement from it's perihelion to the galactic center to aphelion and back again (24,000-25,920 year cycle) would be evidence that precession is not due to the axial wobble theory nor caused by gravitational perturbations orbital proximity of the two suns. I take the 24,000 year number from Sri Yukteswar, the other being a projection of the current precessional 'drift' taken as a constant, an assumption that may not hold true. This is the cycle of the Yugad and according to Sri Yukteswar it is the cycle between perhelion and aphelion, and back again, that determines the decrease and increase in the energy reaching our solar system, hence the cycles of civilization, from Golden Age to the Iron Age and back again. He further claims that we passed aphelion at about 500AD and advanced upwards through the second Kali Yuga cycle at about 1700AD. This business of the Kali Yuga cycle lasting hundreds of millions of years is doubtful as Sri Yuketswar explains in his book 'The Holy Science'. It is true that more than half the solar systems we have observed are of a dual, or even triple 'sun' configuration but if we look at the Electric Universe theory which asserts that Saturn was a sun then prior to the collapse of the polar alignment of several of our planets to Saturn then we were a dual sun system in which Sol supplanted it's dual entirely.
