A 14-year-old teenage boy was choked, slammed to the ground and arrested by Miami police officers who claim the teen stared at them in a “dehumanizing” way.

Tremaine McMillian, an African-American teenage boy from southern Florida, spent Memorial Day on the beach with his family. While he was ‘rough-housing’ with another teen on Haulover Beach, police drove by on an ATV and told him that his behavior was unacceptable.  They asked the boy where his parents where, and McMillian walked away.

The Miami-Dade police officers subsequently jumped off their ATVs to restrain the teen, claiming he gave them “dehumanizing stares” and “appeared threatening.” Maurissa Holmes, the mother of the boy, captured the incident on her cell phone. Video footage shows one police officer choking the 14-year-old boy while the other officer is restraining him.

“He started choking me, and as he was choking me, I urinated on myself because I couldn’t breathe,” McMillian told WSVN-TV after the incident. The boy’s mother was close by and ran over to the officers, telling them to get off. They told her to stand back.

“I ran over with my son and used my cell phone when I saw my son and he couldn’t breathe,” she told CBS4. “There was no reason to slam him on the ground like that the way they did. He’s a child, not an adult. For them to jump off their ATV and do this, this is wrong. I want justice. You don’t do that to a child.”

After the incident, the police said McMilliam clenched his fists, which made him appear threatening. But the boy says he was carrying and taking care of his Pit Bull puppy and giving the dog milk from a bottle right before the police attacked him, making it impossible for his fists to be clenched.

“That police report was not accurate,” the boy’s mother told CBS4. McMillian said the report also failed to mention the presence of his dog, which was also hurt by the officers.

“I feel sad. [The officer] got in front of me… and he slammed my hand,” the teen said, describing the incident. “Then he started choking me. Then my 6-week old Pit Bull mix named Polo got hurt and bruised his front paw when the police grabbed me and slammed me down. It makes me feel sad.”

Kearra McMillian, the victim’s sister, feels equally saddened by the event, and believes the officers responded out of rage that they were being ignored.

“My brother did nothing wrong,” she said. “He didn’t say anything to the officer. He just kept walking. I guess they just got mad because he wouldn’t stop.”

Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta defended the actions of the officers, claiming they did the right thing in restraining someone who appeared hostile, and that they had no choice but to take the boy into custody after he resisted their orders. He claims that flailing arms and clenched fists are considered a threat, and that the reports of the puppy’s presence are insignificant. McMillian has been charged with resisting arrest with violence, which is a felony, and disorderly conduct.

An assistant public defender at the Juvenile Justice Center has entered a plea of not guilty on behalf of the 14-year-old. Judge Maria DeJesus Santoveria has ordered a trial for the boy, which has been scheduled to begin July 16.

RW - Trained in Israel.

Seriously? Please elaborate.

Of course they don't mention the offending cops' names. Doubt they're jewish - what jew would deign to be a cop? - but still, I hate the way they protect the IDs of these thugs with "legal" weapons.

That said, this one's a toughie, on the surface. Racial tensions these days are at an all-time high (at least a post-MLK all-time high, anyway), and the picture is clear that this country is going down the tubes in part thanks to the descendants of the low-hanging fruit that we imported from the Dark Continent centuries ago. Prepare for most major cities to eventually go the way of Detroit, which is basically now the Jo-burg of the northern hemisphere.

Most US cops get training in Israel. This being in Florida the chances are very good that these thugs got a trip over there. Plus, their response to 'looks' is very much in line with the IDF habit of shooting young children who dare stand up to them in any way, shape or form. I very much doubt this is about race. Florida is very much a melting pot of whites, blacks, Cubans, Puerto Ricans and Canadians.

South Florida cops have one purpose: to protect wealthy & to a lesser extent tourists.  There may be some rich blacks down there but not enough so that avg cop will think twice before abusing blacks.  BTW Haulover Beach is rather unique, the area is one of rare Miami-area coast spots that's unbuilt park land.  It has a big parking lot which charges a fee so most visitors are not street rabble--one can reach it by walking/bike/bus but still less convenient than reaching beaches in the built-up areas.  Anyway Haulover has a big nude-beach section; cops undoubtedly enjoy riding ATVs & checking out the sights while looking for 'undesirables' to chase away.

Don't take this the wrong way but I'd really like to see some background info on this. Wouldn't surprise me if cops from places like Jew York, Jew Noisy and South Flawridah go there for training, but I have to say that of the cops I have known over the years from other locations, none were trained there. Now, if you are talking about learning Israeli tactics, I can certainly see that. (BTW, my opinion of cops overall is not particularly great, in case you were wondering.)

True that may be, but ask any of us who've lived in a majority-black, high-crime city and you'll find that we're ALL highly suspicious of any young black guy that looks at us sideways.

You forgot the Haitians. Talk about fuel for the racism fire.

And that's not all.... Remember the Occupy Movements?

Is Was Israel Responsible For The Occupy Crackdowns?

With the crackdowns on Occupy protests across the country drawing attention to the militarization of American police forces, the media have been searching for explanations. Reporter Max Blumenthal posited that the change was the result of post-9/11 Israeli influence, citing trips to Israel taken by American law enforcement officials for counterterrorism training.

Blumenthal's claims were bolstered by Karen Greenberg, a national security expert with the national security program at Fordham Law (and MoJo contributor in the past). In his piece, Blumenthal wrote:

"At any given moment there is an orthodoxy, a body of ideas which it is assumed all right-thinking people will accept without question. It is not exactly forbidden to state this or that or the other, but it is "not done".
...Anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with.

Says right here in the article that they send the trainers over HERE, not the other way around:

Key to this has been Israeli training, sending into America so-called experts who have long operated in an environment where killing civilians under cover of a rigged racist system of government has been official policy for over six decades.

Now that, I can believe. Not to mention the various agencies in cahoots with the Izzies. Remember this? http://www.infowars.com/pennsylvania-homeland-security-employed-israeli-company-to-suppress-american-political-dissent/

And the difference? Look deeper which you obviously did not do considering the small amount of time between the question and your reply. I'm not going to do your research for you. If you are ignorant of this long standing exchange between US police forces and the Israelis it is not my job to reduce your ignorance.

It's becoming obvious that you are posting distractions. That's trolling. It's annoying. Especially when you do so in a less than respectful manner.

Yeah, minorities are no picnic but cops down there, as in many places (like NYC) cause much resentment with high-handed behavior.  Saw a TV show about the old Miami jail that still houses ~1/2 of Miami inmates--it's an ancient decrepit place with esp bad design--dangerous for guards & much worse for inmates.

Once stayed at a south Florida hotel (Ramada I think)--the Jews charged the credit card for a pay-per-view porno movie which I never ordered/watched.  Too much hassle to dispute it (was a company card anyway).  Cute little scam, must rake in $$millions.  Florida is crime capital of USA, only the street thug chumps are prosecuted.
