The suicide bombings carried out in London in 2005 by British Muslims revealed an enormous fifth column of Islamist terrorists and their sympathizers. Under the noses of British intelligence, London has become the European hub for the promotion, recruitment and financing of Islamic terror and extremism - so much so that it has been mockingly dubbed Londonistan. In this ground-breaking book Melanie Phillips pieces together the story of how Londonistan developed as a result of the collapse of traditional English identity and accommodation of a particularly virulent form of multiculturalism. Londonistan has become a country within the country and not only threatens Britain but its special relationship with the U.S. as well.

The book chronicles the Islamization of London (and really England) and uncovers the ideology that allowed it to happen. In fact, perhaps the greatest contribution of the book is not its unveiling of the radical ideology that produces terrorism, but of the similarly extreme ideology that refuses to call terrorism what it is.

Make no mistake, this book is not right-wing bombast against Islam and liberal politicians. On the contrary it is an intelligent and well-informed exposition of why Western Civilization is caving before Islam.

Read, think, and heed.

Operation Cyclone was the code name for the United States Central Intelligence Agency program to arm and finance the Afghan mujaheddin prior to and during the Soviet war in Afghanistan, 1979 to 1989. The program leaned heavily towards supporting militant Islamic groups that were favored by neighboring Pakistan, rather than other, less ideological Afghan resistance groups that had also been fighting the Marxist-oriented Democratic Republic of Afghanistan regime since before the Soviet intervention. Operation Cyclone was one of the longest and most expensive covert CIA operations ever undertaken;[1] funding began with $20–30 million per year in 1980 and rose to $630 million per year in 1987.[2] Funding continued after 1989 as the Mujahideen battled the forces of Mohammad Najibullah's PDPA during the Civil war in Afghanistan (1989–1992).[3]

UN justice champion Richard Falk targeted (again)

Vengeful Zio-schemers sharpen their knives

By Stuart Littlewood

The US ambassador to the United Nations Human Rights Council, Eileen Chamberlain Donahoe, has branded Richard Falk as “unfit to serve in his role as a UN Special Rapporteur.”

It seems that in his role monitoring the occupied Palestinian territories he’s in the habit of expressing views that don’t coincide with the twisted dogma of the pro-Israel lobby and its handmaidens, like Donahoe and Susan Rice, the outgoing US ambassador to the UN and National Security adviser-designate. This attack is merely the latest in a long line of attempts to smear, vilify and dump Falk.

Donahoe’s biography on the US mission website includes this high-tone gem. “On the front lines of the Obama administration’s strategy of multilateral engagement to promote democracy and respect for universal human rights, Ambassador Donahoe and the US delegation work to ensure that the courageous voices of human rights defenders from around the globe are heard.”

Yes, but only if they’re singing off the Tel Aviv hymn-sheet, lyrics by Mark Regev, also known as Mark Freiberg, Israel’s Australian-born chief propagandist.

She told the Human Rights Council:

The best way to truly address human rights issues in Israel and the Palestinian territories is to end the underlying conflict and forge a comprehensive peace. For this reason, the United States continues to work vigorously on a simultaneous two-track strategy: a political negotiations track which ultimately results in a two-state solution, with a secure Israel and a sovereign Palestine living side by side in peace and security, and equally a Palestinian institution-building track in preparing for a future Palestinian state.

Get real, darlin’. How does any of this actually tackle the underlying conflict or restore long-denied human rights to Palestinians still languishing under the jackboot of the Israeli occupation after 65 years?

According to The Times of Israel, Abraham Foxman, the national director of the Anti-Defamation League, says his organization agrees with Donahoe that Falk is unfit to serve in his role. “If he does not leave voluntarily, the Human Rights Council should remove him. Mr Falk’s attempt to paint himself as the victim of an Israeli government-sponsored defamation campaign, carried out by UN Watch, has echoes of classical anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.”

Well, judge for yourselves.
Meet the other “smear” artists

United Nations Watch, an advocacy group affiliated with the American Jewish Committee, recently submitted a draft resolution to the UN Human RIghts Council demanding the termination of Falk’s mandate. It includes a long list of wild allegations like these:

Falk is so extreme in his support for the Hamas terrorist organization that even the Palestinian Authority has sought to remove him, on grounds that he is a “partisan of Hamas”.

Falk recently published an article seeking to downplay, reinterpret and justify the latest call by Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal to destroy Israel, a member state of the United Nations.

A member state that is contemptuous of the rules of membership and permanently on the wrong side of international law.

Falk published on his website a cartoon showing a dog wearing a Jewish head covering, and with “USA” written on its body, urinating on a depiction of justice and devouring a bloody skeleton, for which he was condemned by British Prime Minister David Cameron.

Wish I’d seen that!

Falk endorsed a virulently anti-Semitic book entitled 'The Wandering Who?' an act condemned by the British Foreign Office.

The book was also endorsed by Kathleen Christison, John Mearsheimer, James Petras, Karl Sabbagh, William Cook, Jeff Gates, Ramzy Baroud, Samir Abed-Rabbo, Robert Wyatt, Eric Walberg and Makram Khoury. These are sane, intelligent and knowledgeable people.

Here is what Falk actually wrote.

Gilad Atzmon [the book’s author] has written an absorbing and moving account of his journey from hard core Israeli nationalist to a de-Zionized patriot of humanity and passionate advocate of justice for the Palestinian people. It is a transformative story told with unflinching integrity that all (especially Jews) who care about real peace, as well as their own identity, should not only read, but reflect upon and discuss widely.

Atzmon kindly sent me a copy, an excellent and timely work.

Falk has falsely and absurdly accused Israel of planning a “Palestinian holocaust”.

How would the clowns at UN Watch describe Israel’s carefully planned Operation Cast Lead and the great slaughter it caused among innocent civilians trapped and imprisoned in the narrow confines of the Gaza Strip, and the deliberate devastation of infrastructure necessary to human life, not to mention the starvation imposed by the cruel seven-year blockade?

Falk has become one of the world’s most high-profile supporters of 9/11 conspiracy theorists who accuse the US government of orchestrating the destruction of the Twin Towers as a pretext to launch wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The conspiracy looks less and less like a theory.

He promotes the writings of David Ray Griffin, who has produced 12 books describing the World Trade Centre attack as “an inside job”.

Falk has repeatedly appeared on the “TruthJihad.com” show of Kevin Barrett, a 9/11 conspiracy theorist and holocaust sceptic who rails against the “ethnic Jews” who he says run Washington and the media.

In 2011 Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon issued an unprecedented condemnation of Mr Falk’s 9/11 remarks, saying they were “preposterous” and “an affront to the memory of the more than 3,000 people who died in that tragic terrorist attack”.

Reuters news agency reported that UN Watch had written to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon demanding that he “strongly condemn Mr Falk’s offensive remarks and… immediately remove him from his post”. A Ban Ki-moon condemnation has all the force of a slap with a wet kipper.

US Ambassador Susan Rice denounced Falk’s 9/11 remarks as “despicable and deeply offensive”, condemned his “one-sided and politicized approach”, deplored his comments for being “so noxious that it should finally be plain to all that he should no longer continue in his position”, and noted that “the cause of human rights will be better advanced without Mr Falk and the distasteful sideshow he has chosen to create”.

In conclusion the UN Watch’s issued a resolution which:

    1. Finds that Mr Falk has committed gross and systematic violations of his duties as a council expert, including his obligation to uphold the highest standards of competence, integrity, probity, impartiality, equity, honesty and good faith;

    2. Deeply regrets that Mr Falk has failed to heed calls for his resignation as expressed by Palestinian, American and other delegates to the United Nations, thereby obliging the council to exercise its responsibility and protect the credibility and integrity of its procedures;

    3. Decides to terminate the mandate of Mr Richard Falk, effective immediately.

Fair comment

Falk’s “noxious” remarks about 9/11 simply broke the ridiculous taboo and questioned the US administration’s refusal to hold a proper independent inquiry. His “crime” was saying that the US administration’s reluctance to address the awkward gaps and contradictions in the official story, identified by several scholars, only fuelled suspicions of a conspiracy.

He suggested that “what may be more distressing than the apparent cover-up is the eerie silence of the mainstream media, unwilling to acknowledge the well-evidenced doubts about the official version of the events: an Al-Qaeda operation with no foreknowledge by government officials”.

This is fair comment and worded with sufficient care to avoid causing offence. After all, there can be no greater affront to the memory of the 3,000 than the Obama administration’s obvious reluctance to seek the truth.

And there are millions of us out here who are right behind Richard Falk because he stands for justice. We are not amused by indications that the official explanation of 9/11 doesn’t add up. Nor are we happy that it was used to sucker our own governments into sacrificing troops and treasure in unlawful, unwinnable wars that have caused mega-deaths and endless suffering to innocent civilians, trashed our good name abroad and made us vulnerable to reprisals at home.

And for what? Simply to advance the crazed ambitions of the US-Israeli Axis of Greed.

The ever-servile British government is also eager to stick the knife in, as demonstrated in this letter on 6 June by the Foreign Office’s Philippa Thompson, Deputy Team Leader of the Equality and Non-Discrimination Team (what a fatuous job title). It was written in reply to a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act following a UK press release on 24 April 2013 containing a statement on comments made by Richard Falk.

It said the British government strongly objected to Falk’s comment that the “United States has been fortunate not to experience worse blowbacks”. The relevant paragraph from Falk’s article for the Foreign Policy Journal reads:

The American global domination project is bound to generate all kinds of resistance in the post-colonial world. In some respects, the United States has been fortunate not to experience worse blowbacks, and these may yet happen, especially if there is no disposition to rethink US relations to others in the world, starting with the Middle East.

These words should be framed and hung in every foreign minister’s office across the globe.

Thompson wrote that in the same article Falk said: “As long as Tel Aviv has the compliant ear of the American political establishment, those who wish for peace and justice in the world should not rest easy.” She (and, presumably, her bosses) believed the article was “resonant of the longstanding anti-Semitic practice of blaming Jews (through the state of Israel by proxy) for all that is wrong in the world”. This was unacceptable, she stated, but did not explain why.

Actually, Falk’s remarks are quite OK with those who take an interest in the evil that’s going on around us. But we perfectly understand how his observations are inconvenient to the hooligan élite who are bent on more mayhem.

Falk is also under attack from the American Jewish Committee, an organization that aggressively promotes Israel’s interests. The AJC’s executive director, David Harris, on 23 April 2013, said about Falk: “His malicious propaganda regarding the US and Israel – and his glaring inability to see the stark truth about extremist violence and terrorism – has no place in any international body that takes itself and its mission seriously.”

The AJC’s stated vision embraces “democratic values, respect for human rights and peaceful conflict-resolution”, yet Harris and his buddies seem blind to the terror, violence, utter brutality and total disrespect for others’ rights that have become Israel’s trademark.

Whose national interest are they working for?

Earlier this month the AJC welcomed the appointment of Susan Rice as President Obama’s National Security Adviser. With gushing praise it announced:

With regard to the Middle East, Ambassador Rice has strenuously opposed Iran’s nuclear ambitions and human rights transgressions…. She has sought to mobilize international action in the face of the ever mounting death toll in Syria, and stood up for Israel whenever needed, which in the UN, regrettably, is all too often, whether in the Security Council, General Assembly or other UN organs…

Again and again, she has tried to block Palestinian efforts in the world body to do an end-run around direct negotiations with Israel… For all these reasons, AJC was very proud to present Ambassador Rice with our Distinguished Public Service Award…

It shows how desperate the Israel lobby is to keep the Palestinians locked in the going-nowhere vacuum of direct negotiations while the criminal Tel Aviv regime keeps robbing them of their lands and resources at gun-point. Rice has played her part and been rewarded.

The AJC has had it in for Falk for years. Back in March 2008 it was “outraged” over his election to the UN Human Rights Council as the new UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories. It claimed Falk had repeatedly accused the US of being responsible for many of the world’s ills and compared Israel with the Nazi regime. His election, it said, underlined the bias of the UN Human Rights Council and his mandate reflected an inherent and fundamental bias. “While charged with investigating the conduct of the Israeli government in the Palestinian areas, he has no authority from the Human Rights Council to investigate major abuses of human rights perpetrated in the same areas by the Palestinian Authority and by Palestinian terror organizations.”

Of course not. There’s a big difference but the AJC just din’t get it.

Meanwhile, Donahoe, Rice, Obama and all their fancy talk of “multilateral engagement to promote democracy and respect for universal human rights” have done nothing to end the decades of abuse of human rights in the Holy Land.

Richard Falk, let’s remind ourselves, is an emeritus professor of international law, author of over 20 books and editor of 20 more. He clearly knows his stuff. Isn’t it time someone gave him a medal – a big clunky one – for maintaining his integrity in this hissing vipers’ nest?

The Israeli Lab and the Palestinian Guinea Pigs

Saturday, June 15, 2013 at 11:49AM Gilad Atzmon

"The Lab" is a new groundbreaking Israeli documentary film that redefines our entire understanding of the Jewish State, its aims, its identity and its global destructive role. I honestly believe that this film is the deepest and most important commentary on Israel.

In ‘The Lab’, Director Yotam Feldman exposes the Israeli military industry and its operation, he interviews some major protagonists within Israel’s ‘security’ trade. He elaborates on the role of the industry within the Israeli society and economy - in the last few years Israeli security exports reached an unprecedented level of $7 billion a year. A full 20% of Israeli exports are military or military related. Approximately 150.000 families in Israel are dependent on that industry. Israel is now the fourth biggest military exporter.

Hot Off The Press: Israelis aren’t racist

By Gilad Atzmon

They kill everyone equally!

On Friday, an Israeli security guard shot dead a fellow-Israeli Jew at the wailing wall saying later
he feared the man was a Palestinian militant because he had shouted "Allahu akbar"
("God is the greatest" in Arabic).

The verdict is clear. Israelis are not racist. They kill everyone who shouts ‘Allahu akbar’ regardless
of one's race, gender or religion.

Smearing Alice Walker

Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 8:57PM Gilad Atzmon
Alice Walker’s New Book Makes Her the Zionists’ Target
http://www.counterpunch.org/2013/06/26/smearing-alice-walker/

by JEFFREY BLANKFORT

In the comments section of a recent online article in the right wing New York Jewish publication, Algemeiner, not to be confused with the Frankfurter Allgemeine but conceivably with Der Sturmer, there was an argument over whether or not the “Mossad should deal with” Alice Walker as punishment for the critical comments directed towards Israel and American Jewish supporters of Israel in her latest book, “The Cushion in the Road” which, we can assume, none of those commenting had read.

All it took to set off the threat and a stream of racist venom against the 69 year African-American author was an inflammatory headline in Algemeiner’s June 19th edition:“ADL Blasts Anti-Israel Author Walker: ‘She is ‘unabashedly infected with Anti-Semitism’” followed by an article in the same vein.

As could be anticipated from the headline, the story featured a statement by Anti-Defamation League director, Abe Foxman:

“Alice Walker has sunk to new lows with essays that remove the gloss of her anti-Israel activism to reveal someone who is unabashedly infected with anti-Semitism.

“She has taken her extreme and hostile views to a shocking new level, revealing the depth of her hatred of Jews and Israel to a degree that we have not witnessed before.  Her descriptions of the conflict are so grossly inaccurate and biased that it seems Walker wants the uninformed reader to come away sharing her hate-filled conclusions that Israel is committing the greatest atrocity in the history of the world.”

According to an ADL press release, Walker’s book “devotes 80 pages to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, often making comparisons between Israel and Nazi Germany, denigrating Judaism and Jews, and suggesting that Israel should cease to exist as a Jewish state.”

To make the point, the ADL includes four examples. Let’s look at one of them:

“Walker analogizes the Palestinians’ situation with the civil rights era and discrimination against Blacks in the American South.  She writes: ‘It is because I recognize the brutality with which my own multibranched ancestors have been treated that I can identify the despicable, lawless, cruel, and sadistic behavior that has characterized Israel’s attempts to erase a people, the Palestinians, from their own land.’”

In case the inner racists of its readers hadn’t been stirred up enough by Foxman’s rant, the Algemeiner reporter added that “Walker has a history of making extreme anti-Israel statements. In June 2012 she refused to allow an Israeli company to publish a Hebrew edition of her novel, ‘The Color Purple.’ Most recently, Walker wrote a letter calling on the singer-songwriter Alicia Keys to cancel her upcoming July 4th concert appearance in Tel Aviv.”

“In her book,” the article concludes, “Walker accuses Israel of ‘genocide,’ ‘ethnic cleansing,’ ‘crimes against humanity,’ and ‘cruelty and diabolical torture.’” In so doing, it should be noted, she is simply observing the same phenomena that a number of dissident Israelis have previously noted.

The Jewish establishment and the ADL, in particular, have long had a pre-occupation, if not an obsession, with the notion of “Black anti-Semitism.” In 1992, it published a 50 page letter-size “ADL walkerResearch Report,” entitled “The Anti-Semitism of Black Demagogues and Extremists” which included just about everyone who had broken the unwritten taboo of speaking and writing about the role of Jews in the African slave trade.

For having the temerity to step outside of the invisible plantation in which a patronizing Jewish establishment has long consigned the black intelligentsia and political class, Walker is being subjected to a level of racist venom that one might expect from a KKK journal.

When one of Algemeiner’s commenters, Eric R., calls for “Mossad to deal with her” and  another commenter, Boston University history professor, Richard Landes, replies that “this is a stupid comment and should have been moderated out,” Eric R. writes back to justify his virtual call for her to be eliminated, Mossad style:

“Tell me, Professor Landes, why you are against Israel dealing with her and other Nazis in this manner? Don’t just give me a reflexive ‘How awful! We can’t say that!’ How else are you going to stop such hatred coming from such sick, hate-filled scum like Walker, who is basically inciting people to genocide? Persuade them? This woman is deranged by her hate, and can no longer be reasoned with. People like her who support and incite people to murder Jews are just as bad as the suicide bombers themselves….

“Israel is dealing with two genocidal groups that increasingly dominate the world – Marxists and Islamists. Playing nice will no longer work with such brutal totalitarian ideologies. To survive, Israel will have to play some very brutal hard ball. That is just a fact of life in an increasingly intolerant, anti-Semitic and totalitarian world. Trying to silence me does not change that.”

Landes, donning his professorial robes, writes, in another comment , that “one of the tragedies of the african-american community is its susceptibility to both anti-semitism and the kind of demon-infested conspiracy thinking that informs Walker’s world view and like so many other manifestations of anti-Semitism historically, it not only hurts Jews, in the long run it does even more damage to the cultures of the anti-semites.

“no one but the warmongers win with this kind of thinking… and yet I’m sure Alice thinks of herself as a good person working for peace and justice.”

M Ben Faivol, a regular commenter on Algemeiner and other Jewish online journals, had different advice for Eric, something akin to a Psy-Op attack on Walker.

“The Mossad should not deal with her; for the Mossad to do so would give her new found stamina as well as give her cause even further celebrity status,” he wrote. “If Eric really wants to do something about Ms. Walker, he should take responsibility and recognize that he has power to change the world–her world.

“He should undertake such activities as to become fully versed in her works that are anti-Semitic as well as what else she has done that is Pro-Palestinian. He should then find the areas he sees where confrontations leading to embarrassing her publicly can be addressed. THEN he should find a credible person or organization that has like-minded people who can help him formulate the attacks. At that point, he is ready to gain supporters to help and to then undertake non-violent confrontations. Good Luck. If I can help you, please get my email from Algemeiner.”

That Algemeiner did not remove the Mossad comment (while censoring one of mine) should tell the reader all she or he needs to know about the publication. Among the 68 comments still on the site, there are only two that suggest that Walker may be on to something. As for the rest there are some that are just as ugly whose authors have no compunction about posting their names.

It is also obvious that none of the latter take into consideration that Israel might be a valid object for criticism.

George Yegorov who apparently lives in the Ukraine was among the first:

“Alice Walker isn’t a thinker or a writer,” he writes. “She rode to fame during a time when critics championed ‘ethnic’ writing, no matter how bad it was. And now because of the dim-wittiness of those times, during which all voices were ‘valid’ and ‘equal’, even though it is more than apparent that art distinguishes itself by talent only…If people had just waited for real talent to emerge instead of dressing a wart hog in a ball gown and giving it a rhinestone tiara, we wouldn’t now be stuck with Alice Walker.”

Rochelle Davidson would burn her books: “Everyone who bought this trash talking book should get together and burn them all at once. We can’t allow this hatred talk to stay available to anyone. We should boycott buying or reading it and make sure that she knows WHY. She would be the first one to scream when there are anti-black rantings going on.”

Monique Shanabarger, 75 years old from Morocco and a devoted fan of Daniel Pipes, can not contain herself, nor her racism. Here she is unedited (but broken into paragraphs for easier reading):

“Alice Walker is your typical angry, resentful, envious and enraged black american female,” she writes, “who takes advantage of our freedoms to spew out her hate and jealousy of the success of Israel and the brilliant intellect of the jewish people. In comparaison a great majority of her kind have really never totally gave up the law of the jungle with a hidden sense of inferiority and savage, bacward reasonning  no matter how much instruction and emancipation they get in the modern world.

“Well, our left leaning jewish people ought to stop giving an audience and importance to her kind and put them in their place and stop being hypocritical like them. The jews should help and take care of their own poor and Israel and be proud and assertive before there is another holocost.Real charity begins at home, you liberal jews had better ponder on that, wake up and smell the coffee and fast while you can!

“This is coming frome me a 75 years old jewish Moroccan woman whose father had prepared to gun down his ten children, his wife and himself while the german gestapo was knocking at our door the night the Americans landed and invaded north africa in 1942.They saved us in the nick of time.Remember ALL THAT AND WAKE UP!!!!!”

To Monique’s screed, Los Angeles attorney Ilbert Phillips objects, but only slightly:

“Martinique [getting her name wrong]: ‘a great majority of her kind. . . the law of the jungle. . . savage backward reasoning. .. . Ms. Walker is clearly a American is mixed ancestry (both African and European) Your piece sounds as racist as Alice Walker’s drivel. We do not need that kind of language to describe Ms. Walker as the anti-semite she is. She is clearly emotionally disturbed and her ancestry has nothing to do with it.”

A David S Most suspects that “the specific nature of her anti-Semitism indicates some deeper and darker inner hatreds towards Jews than the standard variety. She is probably a follower of Louis Farrakhan who has been preaching this kind of anti-Semitism for years.

“How this woman could become infected with a hate virus so virulent that it lets her write lies, distortions, and outright venom would make a great psycho study. She shares the thinking of such greats as Adolf Hitler and Ken Livingstone, ex-London mayor.”

A Judie Selig writes that: “Alice Walker has shown the world how ignorant and stupid she really has become. She has not been in the limelight for quite awhile and this is giving her 15 minutes of fame that she dearly needs! Her lies about us are disgraceful and we as Jews should take her lack of knowledge as a sign of her losing her place in the world. She is pathetic and needs deep therapy.”

Ruth-Claire Weintraub, a PEP (Progressive Expect for Palestine) social worker from New York, now living in Canada, suggests that:

“This is very sad, that a woman with as much sensitivity and insight about the terrible injustices experienced by people of African descent as Alice Walker, is overwhelmed by such a negative bias towards Israeli Jews. I wonder how such utter poison, such poisonous water, got into her well?”

Walker would no doubt reply that she has been to Occupied Palestine and has seen the situation for herself and probably would recommend that Weintraub and the rest of her Jewish critics do the same.

The last comment posted was mine although it took two days to pass muster with Algemeiner’s moderator:

“I have posted all of these comments on my Facebook page for all of the world to see. I can tell you one thing: they will help the sales of her book.”

"often making comparisons between Israel and Nazi Germany"

That should be the basis of a backlash from Merkel, not the ADL. But then Merkel is a jew stooge and supports the blood libel levied against Germany after the war.

I have no idea why they make such comparisons, Judaism is not Naziism. And Merkel is just a commie tool.

Red Scare: Was Angela Merkel A Devoted Communist In Her Youth?

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, perhaps the most powerful woman on earth and the principal engineer behind Europe’s campaign to resolve its debt crisis, has shrugged off a new book that claims she was a very active member of the Communist Party during her youth in (then) East Germany.

The book, by German journalists Ralf Georg Reuth and Guenter Lachmann, entitled "The First Life of Angela M.," indicates that Merkel designed and led a Marxist-Leninist education program in a unit of the communist state's youth wing – a role that goes significantly beyond the “cultural duties” for the Free German Youth, a communist group that all young East Germans were required to join, that she had previously referred to.

The book alleges she was responsible for "Agitation and Propaganda (agitprop)” -- meaning, she spread communist ideology.

Merkel, who will seek a third term as Germany’s leader in elections slated for this September, said she has nothing to hide about her past.

"I can only fall back on my memories,” she told reporters on Sunday at a film screening in Berlin.

“You just have to accept this ... if something else turns up, then I can live with it. What is important to me is that I never kept anything secret. It is always the case that when something emerges, which of course from the perspective of the former West Germany looks very different, then people say 'she hasn't told us this yet' and 'she hasn't told us that yet'."

She added: "I don't know --S maybe there are other things I didn't talk about because no one ever asked me."

The Local, an English language paper, reported that at the Sunday event, Merkel, now the head of the conservative Christian Democrat party, also served in East Germany’s Free German Trade Union Federation (FDGB) and the Society for German-Soviet Friendship, a propaganda vehicle designed to encourage closer ties between East Germany and the Soviet Union.

Merkel was born in Hamburg in 1954, but moved to East Germany with her family soon thereafter.

In 1989, when the Berlin Wall fell, she was working as a researcher at the Academy of Sciences in East Berlin.

Listening to the Vinny Eastwood show on AFR in which his guest, John Russell, is contemplating the Commonwealth of Humanity which would exercise the will of the people. Well, of what good is the will of the people when in the next few sentences they claim that the 'nazis' did two things to subjugate the people before they exterminated them - they disarmed them and they fluoridated them. Where do they get off making such absurd statements? And where would the will of the people take us if the people are so stupid? I really don't think there is much hope for humanity (a word I hate btw since it really denotes an animal) when people are mouthing off in every venue and medium talking about things which they presume to be true yet have never on their own investigated in sufficient depth to discover whether that is so.

On every level people who have learned just a little of the way of the world, the so-called awakened rush headlong into expounding on all sorts of things the surface of which they have barely scratched. Even more frightening is that these people do not notice that as they move forward the paradigm that has gripped them grips them still so as they approach every new bit of learning they use the tools that have failed them for so many years as the very platform for change. As we witness here to compare Israel to Hitler's Germany without even thinking twice over the matter but merely drawing from an assumption of evil that never was is no foundation for building any understanding of what Israel really is. Germany has been denigrated by jews and judaism for decades and they do so with a spite and a hate that is feral yet we get treated incessantly to a comparison that entirely reverses the truth and comes entirely from a race of liars who have projected their hate, greed and psychopathic desire for domination for centuries. Until the truth of this perversion of History is brought to the fore those who think that they are awake need to realize they are still very much in that state of mind between sleep and waking. They have much headshaking before them yet and it might serve them well to stick their heads under cold water.

Netanyahu On ‘The Jew’, Herzl and Tikkun Olam

Sunday, June 30, 2013 at 12:29AM Gilad Atzmon

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a fascinating speech yesterday at the memorial ceremony of Theodor Herzl in Jerusalem (27.6.2013). ‘The Jew’, stated Netanyahu, is the saver and the liberator of humanity. He and she are the true meaning of progress as conveyed by the notion of ‘Tikkun Olam’ (fixing the world).  ‘The Jew’, according to the Israeli PM, is the emblem of philosophical, ideological, spiritual, scientific and aesthetic innovation.

In his attempt to describe late 19th Century Jewish life in Vienna, Netanyahu said “they (the Jews) rose and flourished in science, art, medicine, philosophy, music, journalism, business, economics - Jewish prosperity can not be described. Freud, Mahler, Schnitzler, Schoenberg, Wittgenstein who came from a Jewish home, Stefan Zweig…”

But then, like Herzl, Netanyahu accepts that in spite of all their greatness, European Jews were doomed - they were despised and were eventually subject to a horrendous fate. According to Netanyahu and his mentor Herzl, antisemitism is engraved in the Goy’s mind.  “People are willing to believe everything about the Jews,” he says.

Netanyahu draws his conclusion – The Jewish State is essential. “The Jewish state was founded in accordance with Herzl's vision. It indeed united the Jewish genius”. But then he is forced to admit that actually, “Tikkun Olam is not protecting you (the Jews) … because the biased belief against us continues.”

Netanyahu is indeed coherent and consistent, but there is one small detail he may fail to see. It’s more than likely that  the so called ‘Goyim’ i.e. the rest of Humanity, are not that interested in the Judeo-centric notion of 'Tikkun Olam' – those ‘progressive’ and 'moralist' ideologies that are mainly concerned with: the primacy of Jewish suffering (holocaust religion), plundering oil from Muslims in the name of democracy (Neoconservatism), stealing from the rich in the name of Marx (Marxism) or stealing from the poor in the name of Milton Freidman (free market).

Netanyahu, Herzl and probably most Jewish ideologists always fail to detect the growing fatigue of ‘Tikkun Olam’ and its messengers. Zionists and Anti Zionists alike would do themselves and the rest of us a great favour once they gather that rather than ‘fixing the world,’ they better consider fixing themselves and their Jewish universe first.

Below you will find an extract from Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the memorial ceremony of Theodor Herzl in Jerusalem.

(27.6. 2013) Translated by Gilad Atzmon

http://www.pmo.gov.il/MediaCenter/Speeches/Pages/speachhertzel270613.aspx

We like to say, rightly, that Herzl's greatness stands out when we look at the poor condition of the Jews at the time. This is true. The situation in Eastern Europe, the ghettos, was indeed appalling. However, Herzl's significance is even more noticeable if we examine his view of the situation of the Jews in his immediate vicinity. Herzl lived and worked in Vienna. The Vienna of the late 19th century was a Jewish renaissance. The one who can attest to that was the greatest writer of America, Mark Twain.

Mark Twain is a familiar name to you all because of his books, but also because of his visit to the Land of Israel in 1869.  20 years later, Twain came to Vienna. He lived there for two years. He met the Jews.

In Vienna 1850 there were almost no Jews but the House of Habsburg promoted them, and they flooded in, and they rose and flourished in science, art, medicine, philosophy, music, journalism, business, economics - Jewish prosperity cannot be described. Freud, Mahler, Schnitzler, Schoenberg, Wittgenstein who came from a Jewish home, Stefan Zweig, Wasserman, you surely know about the medical text called after him, and many, many, many, many, many more.

Twain came to Vienna and he met them all. He knew Jews in the U.S, but there weren’t many at the time.  Here he saw this community blossoming, it’s contribution bestowed upon the Jews to the progress of humanity. He writes a remarkable mass concerning the Jews and he says: All empires - the Babylonians and Chaldeans, and Greeks and Romans - they all rose, thrived and crashed, yet, the Jew has always won with his harm tied behind his back. The Jew is one percent of humanity – yet unbeatable. Twain wrote this after meeting Vienna Jews.

But he also wrote something else. He said: ‘What is this anti-Semitism?’ At that time, Vienna’s Karl Lueger, who was Hitler's mentor and was the mayor of Vienna, harbored this hatred, despite the Jewish enormous contribution.  Twain wrote ‘what do they want from the Jews? They contribute so great for humanity - what is this anti-Semitism?’

He could not give an answer. But these successful Jews, those good, those geniuses, they did not ask the question, except one. He (Herzl), unlike his fellow intellectuals and artists, was not daydreaming, he was a prophet, and each of his thoughts and predictions were based on a sober and even brutal analysis of reality. Herzl wasn’t following his whims, he was reading the truth.

Twain made friends with Herzl. He went along with Herzl to watch a play Herzl wrote on the Ghetto walls. In this play, Herzl predicts that the collapse of the walls and Jewish assimilation would abate anti-Semitism.

Herzl believed that the contribution of the Jews to humanity, Tikkun Olam, something we all want to see, wouldn’t eliminate anti-Semitism. He did not believe that this will protect the Jews from the ancient hatred cultivated for 2500 years since the Hellenistic period – for people are willing to believe everything about the Jews, amongst them the greatest people of humanity in the world.

..

…Now the Jewish state was founded in accordance with Herzl's vision. It indeed united the Jewish genius as it was at the time of Herzl. Since the Nobel Peace Prize was established at that time and the Jews continued to contribute to humanity, more than 20% of the Nobel Prizes, as if we were a Jewish billion worldwide rather than just 14 million. And the State of Israel, the State of Israel has more Nobel Prizes than any other country in relation to the population. Contribution to humanity continued, but the basic distinction Tikkun Olam is not protecting you (the Jews), it just does not protect you, because the biased belief against us continues.
"At any given moment there is an orthodoxy, a body of ideas which it is assumed all right-thinking people will accept without question. It is not exactly forbidden to state this or that or the other, but it is "not done".

Why Do People Hate The Jews?

<--- link

It has been said that the history of almost all of the Jewish holidays can be summed up succinctly: "They wanted to kill us; we won. Let's eat." Why has anti-Semitism been so pervasive in so many countries, in so many time periods and for so many reasons? (One begins to wonder. Perhaps there is something wrong with the Jews and Judaism? After all, there is an old Yiddish saying -- "If one person calls you a donkey, ignore him; if two people call you a donkey, buy a saddle.")

Between the years 250 CE and 1948 CE - a period of 1,700 years - Jews have experienced more than eighty expulsions from various countries in Europe - an average of nearly one expulsion every twenty-one years. Jews were expelled from England, France, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal, Bohemia, Moravia and seventy-one other countries.

Historians have classified six explanations as to why people hate the Jews:

Economic -- "We hate Jews because they possess too much wealth and power."
Chosen People -- "We hate Jews because they arrogantly claim that they are the chosen people."
Scapegoat -- "Jews are a convenient group to single out and blame for our troubles."
Deicide -- "We hate Jews because they killed Jesus."
Outsiders, -- "We hate Jews because they are different than us." (The dislike of the unlike.)
Racial Theory -- "We hate Jews because they are an inferior race."

As we examine the explanations, we must ask -- Are they the causes for anti-Semitism or excuses for Anti-Semitism? The difference? If one takes away the cause, then anti-Semitism should no longer exist. If one can show a contradiction to the explanation, it demonstrates that the "cause" is not a reason, it is just an excuse. Let's look at some contradictions:

Economic -- The Jews of 17th- 20th century Poland and Russia were dirt poor, had no influence and yet they were hated.

Chosen People -- a) In the late 19th century, the Jews of Germany denied "Choseness." And then they worked on assimilation. Yet, the holocaust started there. b) Christians and Moslems profess to being the "Chosen people," yet, the world and the anti-Semites tolerate them.

Scapegoat -- Any group must already be hated to be an effective scapegoat. The Scapegoat Theory does not then cause anti-Semitism. Rather, anti-Semitism is what makes the Jews a convenient scapegoat target. Hitler's ranting and ravings would not be taken seriously if he said, "It's the bicycle riders and the midgets who are destroying our society."

Deicide -- a) the Christian Bible says the Romans killed Jesus, though Jews are mentioned as accomplices (claims that Jews killed Jesus came several hundred years later). How come the accomplices are persecuted and there isn't an anti-Roman movement through history? b) Jesus himself said, "Forgive them [i.e., the Jews], for they know not what they do." The Second Vatican Council in 1963 officially exonerated the Jews as the killers of Jesus. Neither statement of Christian belief lessened anti-Semitism.

Outsiders -- With the Enlightenment in the late 18th century, many Jews rushed to assimilate. Anti-Semitism should have stopped. Instead, for example, with the Nazis came the cry, in essence: "We hate you, not because you're different, but because you're trying to become like us! We cannot allow you to infect the Aryan race with your inferior genes."

Racial Theory -- The overriding problem with this theory is that it is self-contradictory: Jews are not a race. Anyone can become a Jew - and members of every race, creed and color in the world have done so at one time or another.

Every other hated group is hated for a relatively defined reason. We Jews, however, are hated in paradoxes: Jews are hated for being a lazy and inferior race - but also for dominating the economy and taking over the world. We are hated for stubbornly maintaining our separateness - and, when we do assimilate - for posing a threat to racial purity through intermarriages. We are seen as pacifists and as warmongers; as capitalist exploiters and as revolutionary communists; possessed of a Chosen-People mentality, as well as of an inferiority complex. It seems that we just can't win.

Now we know what are NOT the reasons for anti-Semitism.

QUOTES:
“Of all the extreme fanaticism which plays havoc in man’s nature, there is not one as irrational as anti-Semitism. … If the Jews are rich [these fanatics] are victims of theft. If they are poor, they are victims of ridicule. If they take sides in a war, it is because they wish to take advantage from the spilling of non-Jewish blood. If they espouse peace, it is because they are scared by their natures or traitors. If the Jew dwells in a foreign land he is persecuted and expelled. If he wishes to return to his own land, he is prevented from doing so.”

- Lloyd George stated in 1923

"The uniqueness of anti-Semitism lies in the fact that no other people in the world have ever been charged simultaneously with alienation from society and with cosmopolitanism, with being capitalistic exploiters and also revolutionary communist advocators. The Jews were accused of having an imperious mentality, at the same time they're a people of the book. They're accused of being militant aggressors, at the same time as being cowardly pacifists. With being a Chosen people, and also having an inferior human nature. With both arrogance and timidity. With both extreme individualism and community adherence. With being guilty of the crucifixion of Jesus and at the same time held to account for the invention of christianity."

- A speech about the irrationality of anti-Semitism
by professor Michael Curtis, of Rutgers University, 1987
"At any given moment there is an orthodoxy, a body of ideas which it is assumed all right-thinking people will accept without question. It is not exactly forbidden to state this or that or the other, but it is "not done".

We Razed Arab Villages, So What?
Says 100-Year-Old IDF General

Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 12:40PM Gilad Atzmon

Introduction by GA: Earlier this month,  Israeli media outlet Arutz 7 interviewed 100-Year-Old Brig. Gen. (res.) Yitzhak Pundak who was honest enough to admit that his “conscience is at ease" in regard to the ethnic cleansing of Palestine "because if we hadn't done so, then there would be no state by now. There would be a million more Arabs.”

The IDF elder general also suggested that Israelis are as devoted now as they were in  1948  "He predicted that if a war breaks out again, Jews will be capable of the same kind of self-sacrifice as in 1948."

100-Year-Old General: We Razed Arab Villages, So What?
Brig. Gen. (res.) Yitzhak Pundak: If we hadn't done it, there would be a million more Arabs and there would be no Israel.

By Gil Ronen ~ http://www.israelnationalnews.com/

Brig. Gen. (res.) Yitzhak Pundak is celebrating his hundredth birthday. Pundak was the commander of the 53rd Battalion of the Givati Brigade in the War of Independence and went on to supervise the establishment of the Armored Corps. He was also Ambassador in Tanzania and a founder of Arad.

In an interview on IDF Radio, Pundak confirmed that forces under his command razed Arab villages in 1948. “My conscience is at ease with that, because if we hadn't done so, then there would be no state by now. There would be a million more Arabs,” he said.

Asked why he still finds it so important to lecture to soldiers, at his advanced age, he explained: "Just like in 1948, the country is in a state of danger – and if the Jews do not fight as we did in the War of Independence, the state is in danger.” He predicted that if a war breaks out again, Jews will be capable of the same kind of self-sacrifice as in 1948.

"When there is a war, people unite,” he explained. “Afterward, they form parties and become divided.”

He spoke with pain of the 145 soldiers who were killed under his command over the years, and said that if they woke up miraculously and saw the divided country of today, "they would run back to their graves."

And yet, when asked if he feels proud of his country, he said that his pride runs "as high as the rooftop."

Pundak, who was the governor of Gaza in the early 1970s, said that the credit that is usually given to Ariel Sharon for stopping Arab terror in Gaza in 1971 is mistaken. He said that Sharon was an unnecessarily cruel commander who once said at a meeting with officers that he would offer champagne to whoever killed an enemy fighter – and whoever brings him a wounded enemy "will drink soda."

He said: “I told him, 'You are not my commander, I am not coming to your meetings.'”

Can Yitzak Pundak tell us why 6 million jews with nukes are better than a million Arabs and no nukes? This genocidal maniac may be at ease with his guilt by such rational but it does not stand up to reason. For him a million more Arabs is a million more people to hate. He expects the same hate is automatically shared by others.

I doubt if this psychopath would even remotely think of anything humane. They sure are a different breed.

And then there is this type: who needs to read a little more history.

US congressman seeks to justify Israel's claim to the land

War is incited by hatred. Unfortunately this reasoning has been applied erroneously to absolve Israel of any blame in its prolonged occupation of Palestine and ongoing human rights violations. In a recent interview, Texan Republican Congressman Louis Gohmert stated adamantly that Israel should not compromise the "right" to land and justified his stance by citing the Bible.

"One thing should be very clear," he proclaimed. "Israel should never and will never buy peace by giving away land." According to Gohmert, land concessions have backfired upon Israel in the past, leading to the areas being used as strategic sites to launch attacks against the occupying power. Biblical prophecies are occurring, reinforcing the Torah's teaching that "the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people". Irrespective of belief, Gohmert adds, the "hand of God" is evident in the political and social processes regarding ownership of the land.

Conveniently disregarding the absence of any reference to citizenship in Biblical sources, as well as the recurring compromise in religious texts regarding land and compliance to God's Will, nevertheless Gohmert's references to these narratives are alleged to be proof of Jewish land ownership. Palestinians are relegated to oblivion, featuring only to justify the fear of Israel's demise as a nation.

The concept of freedom contains no references to the illegal occupation. Israel is portrayed as a state that is constantly making concessions to Palestinians without obtaining any re-conciliatory gesture in return. Israel, according to Gohmert, is manipulated into a difficult position by a culture of hatred nurtured by Palestinian leaders and reinforced through the education system. "Israel," says Gohmert, "should start by urging the PLO to change its textbooks to stop teaching hatred of Jews and to stop naming streets and cities after terrorists who kill Israelis."

Earlier this year, a study of textbooks used by Palestinian and Israeli children declared the content to be void of any dehumanizing material. However, Israeli academic Nurit Peled Elhanan insists that Israeli children are taught to view Jewish society as superior and "aligning with universal values", indicating that the illegal occupation is distorted to younger generations in order to sustain the Jewish state. As Israel consolidates its settler-colonial policies, indoctrination of the younger generation becomes imperative to maintain its oppressive rule over the Palestinians. In Israel's war museum, Jewish children absorb the state's culture of hatred while expressing happiness at violence against Arabs. In 2006, Israeli children were encouraged to write messages upon artillery shells fired subsequently into Lebanon.

Echoing Benjamin Netanyahu, Gohmert's approach towards maintaining peace is misguided and simplistic. "If Israel lays down its weapons, there will be no Israel. If the Palestinians lay down their weapons there will be peace." Far from a road-map to peace, what this incongruous strategy indicates is Israel's fear of dismantling the illegal state, as well as the need for it to preserve a culture of hatred by portraying Palestinian resistance to its military occupation as terrorism. It is hard to envisage peace if Palestinians lay down their arms. Rather, the Israeli occupation would interpret the gesture as a sign of submission and total abandonment by them of their right to their own land.

Now this is cool...

McDonald's refuses to open branch in Israeli settlement.

McDonald's Israel has refused to open a branch in the settlement of Ariel which is built on Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank. The company was offered space in a shopping mall being built in the settlement but, said one of the brokers involved in trying to market the site, McDonald’s declined because the settlement is beyond the 1949 Armistice ("Green") Line.

Tzahi Nahmias pointed out that this is not the first time that an international company has refused to open branches in the mall, fearing the effect on their international operations if they did so.

According to the Jerusalem Post, McDonald's has always had a company policy of refusing to operate in the West Bank.

The Arabs And Their Spring

Thursday, July 4, 2013 at 1:58PM Gilad Atzmon

It is not a secret that summer skipped Europe this year and some meteorologists even predict a sun eclipse for the next seven to ten years. When asked to explain this dire prediction a few experts ended up blaming the Arabs, ‘it is all because of the Arabs, they took all the spring.’

Joking aside, looking at the Arabs and their "Spring" reveals a chilling sight. It is basically an ongoing bloodbath.

A vast popular uprising in the name of "liberation," "human rights," "democracy" and other big words has matured in a very short time  into regional chaos, civil wars, carnage, loss of life on a huge magnitude scale and scores of interventionist apparatuses that guarantee more havoc to come.

What happened? Why did the "Arab Spring" turn into a regional winter? Why didn't the Egyptian democracy last more than a year?

I am not going to answer any of these questions. Instead, I will offer a simple method to address these issues.

Some 18 months ago I published The Wandering Who, A Study of Jewish Identity Politics. I argued that if we want to grasp Israel or the extent of Jewish Power we must dig into the ideologies and culture that formed the "Jewish State" and sustain Jewish tribalism and politics.

The book caused a storm, it was praised by some of the most important academics and humanists but it was also harshly opposed by many Jewish tribal activists  and a few of their dedicated Sabbath Goyim.

It was, however, the opposition to my work that actually convinced me that I was on the right track -- a theoretical and critical study of culture and identity politics is clearly the way forward. The study of Jewish culture explains Israeli barbarism, as it does the Israeli negligence of human rights, it throws light on the Neocon interventionist agenda and it also elucidates the spin at the heart of Jewish Left and Anti-Zionist Zionists (AZZ).  It clearly explains why Palestinians are still living in refugee camps while American and British soldiers are fighting Zionist wars.

I would argue here that scholars and Arab intellectuals in particular should similarly examine closely the Arab culture and identity politics in order to understand and amend the grave current situation.

Such an examination could reveal, for instance,  that "Western democracy" may not be the optimal political system for various states in the Middle East. Such a study will have to take into account  Islam’s take of the notion of the "civil," it would have to consider the demographics of different Arab regions and states. It may even have to question the notion of "State" in reference to Arab culture and history. Class division in the Arab society is also a crucial topic that must be examined. Such a study could benefit from a theoretical examination of  the unique manner in which the Islamic Republic of Iran balances Islam and democracy. Such a study would transcend beyond  politics, global affairs and the decaying material dialectic manner of thought. It would locate the subject matter i.e., the Arab and the Arab World, at the centre of the discourse.

Such scholarship should raise the following questions: Who are the Arabs, the Egyptians, the Syrians, the Palestinians and so on? What do they believe in?  What unites them? What separates them? What can they agree upon? What terrifies them? What makes them happy?

Once Arabs start to deal with these questions they may realise that rather than killing each other for Israel, America or Russia they should identify who they are for real and who their real enemies are.

Gilad Atzmon's New Book: The Wandering Who? A Study Of Jewish Identity Politics

Jewish identity is tied up with some of the most difficult and contentious issues of today. The purpose in this book is to open many of these issues up for discussion. Since Israel defines itself openly as the ‘Jewish State’, we should ask what the notions of ’Judaism’, ‘Jewishness’, ‘Jewish culture’ and ‘Jewish ideology’ stand for. Gilad examines the tribal aspects embedded in Jewish secular discourse, both Zionist and anti Zionist; the ‘holocaust religion’; the meaning of ‘history’ and ‘time’ within the Jewish political discourse; the anti-Gentile ideologies entangled within different forms of secular Jewish political discourse and even within the Jewish left. He questions what it is that leads Diaspora Jews to identify themselves with Israel and affiliate with its politics. The devastating state of our world affairs raises an immediate demand for a conceptual shift in our intellectual and philosophical attitude towards politics, identity politics and history.
