Rochester, New York police unit

Police in New York have arrested a 28-year-old woman in her front yard for filming police officers while they were conducting a routine traffic stop.

Emily Good of Rochester, New York was charged on Thursday with obstructing governmental administration after refusing a police officer's order to leave her front yard while she was videotaping, Raw Story reported.

Good said she was filming the traffic stop because she was concerned about the incident which was taking place in her neighborhood.

The police told her they felt threatened by her standing behind them because she seemed "very anti-police," and order to leave her front lawn and go back into her house.

Good refused to leave her front yard arguing she had every right to stay in her property.

Good's attorney, Stephanie Stare, argues that her client's actions “did not rise to the level of a crime” and has filed a motion to have the misdemeanor charge of obstructing governmental administration dismissed.

Charges dismissed 'cause it got on YouTube.

It still sets the precedent... and the story & youtube popularized it - no doubt the woman was incarcerated for at least a day or so...
