The Basque are also the root people in Southwest France.

However, while the French government is less oppressive to individuals, it is more intolerant of any deviation from the French standard.

This is the Basque situation in France.  Spain's Franco tried genocide.

But France, while not genocidal, will not tolerate deviance from the French culture.

If Europe breaks up due to economic problems, these separatist areas, which are above-average productive, may prosper.  But not until then.

I can read some of these.

For ex:  No to the extradition of Basque Refugees (Apparently, Basque Political Refugees who are sought by Spanish Authorities)

Our land is worth more than Golf Courses.

The Sound is terrible, but the murals are fascinating!

Many Basque Separatists protest the high Speed Basque Rail System being proposed. This explains the Hand (Stop) in front of the train pictures.  I have no idea why since the rail would benefit the Basque region.

When you get to Leftists, they often protest for the sake of protesting.
