Obama spells end of blank cheques for Israel
« on: December 15, 2008, 09:50:58 PM »
JERUSALEM (AFP) `” Israel can no longer expect "blank cheques" from Washington once president-elect Barack Obama's administration takes over in January, a former US ambassador to the Jewish state said on Sunday.

"The era of the blank cheque is over," said Martin Indyk, director of the Centre for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institute who is considered close to incoming secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

"The Obama administration intends to be engaged, using diplomacy to try to bring about a safer and more peaceful place, that is different from the seven years of the (George W.) Bush administration," he said on public radio.

"President Obama surely will want to work with Israel on this (Middle East) agenda. But there are obligations on both sides (Israel and the Arabs). Both sides will have to respect these obligations," Indyk said.

Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert held a "long conversation" with Clinton earlier this week and welcomed her nomination in Obama's team, his office said. She vowed to work for peace and stability in the Middle East.

This is a good example of perception manipulation.  Obama himself said nothing about Israel not receiving any "blank cheques," yet the headline will lead many to believe he has said this.

They specialize in this type of subtle manipulation.

The only way jewsrael will not be getting blank cheques any longer is if they demand cash instead!!

In all likelihood, they would probably prefer the cash to be in something other than the American dollar, as they have pretty well destroyed its purchasing power.

There's only a small difference between Israel filling in US$30 Billion in the "amount" space, and the US Secretary of the Treasury issuing a cheque for US$30 Billion. Of course, They would probably ask for it in Roubles or gold Krugerrands now.

Israel never got blank checks from the US.  It was tried, but the jews complained about how much work it was to write in all those zeros.

LOLOLOLOL ... I think you should put that one on my Joke Thread.

"At any given moment there is an orthodoxy, a body of ideas which it is assumed all right-thinking people will accept without question. It is not exactly forbidden to state this or that or the other, but it is "not done".
...Anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with.

There was the claim that Jesse Jackson stated Obama was going to throw out ALL the "Zionist Lobby Groups" out of the Whitehouse...which he then retracted.

I think Obama represents the Internationalist Jew who was never really happy about the setting up of Israel BEFORE the world wide revolution took effect. He and the "Bill Ayers" crowd of the SDS "Weather Underground" days.

Rahm Emmanual and Hillary are sitting close to the King around the table. Obama's wife will be a problem.

I see him getting knocked off for sure before the end of next year. When I look at Obama I see a man who does'nt like being told what to do.
AMERICA was banned for 7 days by LONEWOLF due to a few jews working for "The Hydra" - PATHETIC.
