Freedom Portal has been on-line under the name since November 2009. Before that time the forum was known as NOLAJBS, which was begun in November 2003. Many of our members were active on LibertyForum.net in the early days of what was called the 'Freedom Movement' or more commonly today, The 'Truth Movement' and it's participants were known as 'Truth Seekers', referred to derogatorily by the mainstream mediia as 'Truthers', as if that were a bad thing.

At that time the ubiguitous spread of information made possible by the internet allowed for a much greater scope of research into history, politics, religion and many other subjects and issues that had heretofore been the purvue of academia, media and institutions and was primarily disseminated, if at all through the printing press by way of newspapers, magazines, articles, books, film, radio and television. The introduction of the internet proved to be a quantum leap above such singular sources and brought all those mediums together into what is now known colloquially as 'information at your fingertips'.

Liberty Forum eventually went by the wayside due to an absentee owner, database errors and suspicions that it was really just a 'Honeypot', a term applied to sites ostensibly for exercising free speech but clandestinely collecting data on members and passing that data on to less than freindly parties. Whether or not tere is truth in that has never been proven. As Liberty Forum's collapse appeared certain NOLAJBS.net was brought on-line as a refuge for LF members.

Although NOLAJBS.net carried on the same tradition of seeking the truth and sharing what was learned in the process. NOLAJBS also brought another aspect to the fight against deception...the introduction of 'Leaderless Resistance' as a strategy to empower individuals to step away from the lies and fraud being perpetrated by our public servants who aspire to be our 'masters', in other words we were looking for solutions rather than merely complaining. Leaderless Resistance operates on the idea of a cellular organizational structure that flattens the traditional pyramid paradigm so favored by the globalists and relies on every participant being informed and knowledgable, a state of being that is eminantly doable with the internet and that can be sustained should the PTBs ever get their 'kill switch'.

As Tsu Sun has made clear two and a half millenia ago, know the enemy. This is absolutely essential if we are to restore our world to the philosophical ideals of independance only possible in a world of freedom and responsibility.
